Here, Qigong and Tai Chi instructor Dr Amily Wang Guenier demonstrates movement number 7: 攥拳怒目增气力 Clench the Fists and Glare Fiercely and movement number 8: 背后七颠百病消 Bouncing on the Toes. Movement 7 helps release tension throughout the whole body. The method of holding solid punches and and opening fists and eyes can clear the liver qi, the peripheral qi and blood flow. It increases the strength of your whole body, especially in your thighs. Movement 8 helps to draw energy from the earth through the soles of your feet. The gentle shaking vibrations is said to "smooth out" the qi. This movement stimulates the du meridien and the foot meridians, relaxes the joint muscles and nourishes the brain.
