Intellectual life and the learning environment at Umass Author: Lucas Smith Added on Sun Jun 14 17:28:59 BST 2015 Duration: 0:02:27 Here is a look at the learning facilities and intellectual life at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. Facilities like Du Bois Library, the many labs and ample areas to relax made it very pleasant to study here. As the video will show the Geography department is much smaller than at Manchester and as a result the classes were smaller and were based to a larger extent on student participation much like seminars in Manchester. This style of teaching was challenging to adapt to in the first few weeks but I became accustomed to it and enjoyed my time in these classes.
